YAMAHA SYNTHESIZERS/WORKSTATIONS MOTIF XF7

The IEEE1394 Firmware Updater lets you update the firmware of the IEEE1394 interface included on the following devices.
- Yamaha MOTIF XF6/7/8（if optional mLAN16E2 board had been installed）
* You don't need to update the firmware in case of using FW16E with MOTIF XF.

Yamaha Steinberg FW Driver enables audio/MIDI signals to be transferred between a computer and following devices compatible with the YamahaSteinberg FW Driver via IEEE1394 cables.

Devices compatible with the Yamaha Steinberg FW Driver include the following.
- Steinberg MR816 CSX/MR816 X

- Yamaha FW16E/mLAN16E2/n8/n12

Note
- The MOTIF XS8 is equipped with the mLAN16E2 as standard.

- Yamaha Steinberg FW Driver requires following software components when using with the FW16E/mLAN16E2/n8/n12.

* IEEE1394 Firmware V1.07 or later
* V1.08 or later has already been applied to the FW16E
* V1.08 or later (When using mLAN16E2 on the MOTIF XF)

* MOTIF XS V1.10 or later (When using MOTIF XS)

* n8/n12 V1.03 or later (When using n8/n12)

* Sweet Spot Data Manager V2.0.0 (When using n8/n12)

MOTIF XF Editor is a convenient tool which lets you edit and save the various parameters of your MOTIF XF synthesizer.
You can use this MOTIF XF Editor as a plug-in for the software listed below.
-Studio Manager 2.3.3 or later
-DAW application software compatible with Studio Connections
(Cubase 5, Cubase Studio 5, Cubase Essential 5, Cubase AI 5 are also compatible with Studio Connections, but we recommend to use MOTIF XF Editor VST instead of this MOTIF XF Editor)

The MOTIF XF Editor Standalone / VST, based on the “VST3 technology” by Steinberg, works as a VST3 plug-in with Cubase series. The MOTIF XF Editor Standalone / VST also works as the same way as other VST instrument software, allowing you to save the edited settings of the MOTIF XF, or use them for another project.

In addition, you can handle the MOTIF XF Voices in the Media Bay window in Cubase when using the MOTIF XF Editor Standalone / VST with Cubase, allowing you to search for, listen, and play the MOTIF XF Voices within Media Bay in Cubase. The MOTIF XF Editor Standalone / VST provides a comprehensive and seamless music production environment - making the use of hardware and software both easier and much more efficient.
You can use the editor without Studio Manager.
